Courtney Thorne Smith Bio

American actress Courtney Thorne Smith (born November 8 in 1967). Her most memorable roles include Alison Parker on Melrose Place and Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal. She also played Cheryl in According to Jim and Lyndsey McElroy on Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith was born in San Francisco and raised in Menlo Park (a suburb to San Francisco). Walter Smith was her father and Lora Thorne was her mother. Both were computer-based market researchers. Courtney seven years old at the time, separated from her father, Walter Smith. She was a part of both parents in different periods of time. Jennifer her elder sister, is an advertising executive. She attended the Menlo-Atherton high school located in Atherton, California and graduated Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley in 1985. She also performed for the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley while attending high school. Thorne Smith's first film appearance was in the feature film drama Lucas. She was accompanied by Winona Ryder (Corey Haim) and Charlie Sheen. In the 1980s, she was involved in a variety of films, including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II : Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (87) and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she was an actress in the box office film Chairman Of The Board, which was a flop alongside Carrot Top. In 2009, she was a character in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith had a relationship with Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen lover from Melrose Place. In June 2000, she got married to Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple broke up in the month of January. Roger Fishman (president of Zizo Group Marketing Company) and the author of What I Know was her wedding date. At 40 years old she gave birth on the morning of January 11 on the 11th of January, 2008, to Jacob Emerson Fishman.
