Susan Sarandon Bio
It was 1968. Democratic Convention and there was a casting demand for a movie with many characters for youngsters who interrupted it. Joe (1970) was selected for auditions in New York by two recent Catholic University graduates. Chris Sarandon, an actor who was trained to be an actor, was rejected. His wife Susan received a big role.That role was as Susan Compton who is the daughter of an ad executive Bill Compton (Dennis Patrick). Dad Bill kills Susan’s drug dealer boyfriend. Next, Joe (Peter Boyle), a bigot who works on an assembly line and is a collector of guns, meets Susan. Five years later Sarandon is the director of the film. Janet is a transvestite who is entangled by Dr. Frank n Furter (1975). After more than 15 years, Sarandon finally actively campaigned for Annie in Bull Durham (1988), flying herself from Rome to Los Angeles at her expense. She stated "It was an amazing script... it did away with many myths and challenged the American definition of success". "When I arrived, I spent some time with Kevin Costner, kissed some women at the studio and was back on the plane". Her relationship with Bull Durham (1988)) supporting actor, Tim Robbins, had given birth to two sons in 1992, and placed Sarandon in the position of having to leave her idyllic home and stepping into roles that really tested her.
