 Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast (born 7 May 1998), is an American YouTube star and an entrepreneur. He is known for inventing YouTube videos with costly stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson began uploading videos on YouTube in early 2012 at 13 years old under the username "MrBeast6000" and his initial content included everything from "Let's Plays to "videos which estimated the riches of other YouTubers." He went viral in 2017 following his "counting up to 100,000" video racked up hundreds of thousands of views in a matter of days. He has grown in popularity since then, with many of his videos receiving hundreds of millions of views.Over time his style of content has changed to include donation and challenge videos that reward thousands of dollars, videos with arduous challenges or tasks as well as original video vlogs. After his channel exploded, Donaldson hired several of his childhood friends to run the growing business. MrBeast, Donaldson's main YouTube channel, with more than 100 million users was founded in 2022.
